Allen Jesson asked:

Po podstawą następnie trzeba go luzem.

Zawsze zapisać najlepszą część swojej funny poemat miłości do końca.

Allen Jesson asked:

When it comes to writing a funny love poem you may find yourself faced with a task a lot harder that first thought.

This article contains tips and ideas that will help you write a funny love poem.

Before you begin your funny love poem I would recommend reading and listing to other poems in the same genre. This will give you some ideas about the styles they were written. You will also be able to decide if your funny love poem is going to be long or short, rhyming or not rhyming.

Find inspiration, by simply reading a verse or line from another funny love poem you may just find the inspiration to write your own. Once you have the foundation you then need to bulk it out.

If your funny love poem is intended for someone in particular you may already have ideas about what you want to include. If this is the case then spend some time making notes about the specific thing you want to incorporate.

As hard as it sounds try to write down your emotions and feeling as this is what makes a poem special and meaningful. do not be afraid to say things you would not normally say.

Think about the event or person the funny love poem is for, writing notes or a list as you remember the emotions and feeling you had at that time and have now. Once the list is written you can then go through and add or remove what ever you see fit.

You will need to think about the style of your funny love poem. There are many styles of poems including haiku, sonnets, limericks or free verse. It is important to decide the style before actually putting your poem together.

Use vivid descriptions and words of emotion such as love, happiness and joy. Try to include descriptive images, so instead of putting ‘the garden’ put ‘the lush green garden’ these descriptions will paint a better picture in the readers mind.

Always save the best part of your funny love poem for the end. The end should be like a punch line to a joke, something that gives the reader something to think about after the poem has been read.

When you feel your funny love poem is complete read it and read it again, do not be afraid to edit and make changes or better still ask others for their opinions and advice in how they feel the poem reads.

The most important thing is to be sincere, especially if you are going to be giving the poem as a gift to someone you love.

Muna wa Wanjiru asked:

If there is one thing that is going to lift a wedding speech from the very depths despair, it has to be some patented wedging humor. Weddings are great places to find all sorts of humor and jokes running amok and if you naturally have a funny bone in your body, you would do well to let it loose, especially if you are deep in the throes of writing a speech.

Wedding humor is also great in that, applied generously and appropriately it can breathe life to just about anything that you say. Of course, wedding humor is also a double edged sword. You will need to keep it as clean as possible to account for any children and people with easily offended sensibilities who are listening in, and who might be lurking in the audience.

If you have rowdy or bawdy jokes which are best left in the locker room, leave it for a more appropriate time, and for a group of people who would definitely appreciate those sentiments. Another thing that makes wedding humor a double edged sword is the very nature of the humor itself. Your humor and jokes might be great, but have you ever heard of such a thing as, too much of a good thing?

Yes, there are limits to humor as well, and if you are slated to give a wedding speech, using the clichéd, and non-clichéd, bits of wedding humor can be a great thing and can keep your audience awake for the entire time. But remember to only give a veritable dusting of humor, sort of like the icing on a cake.

Wedding humor can also be a great way to break the ice when you’re placed next to someone you’ve never met before, at dinner. Just remember the punch lines, remember to make it funny and most of all remember to whom it is you’re talking, and about what you’re joking.

If you’re not someone who is comfortable with using humor, and you have trouble delivering a punch line with the appropriate panache, then use it as sparingly as possible. Even wedding humor and jokes can go awry if not delivered in the manner that it needs to be.

That said, if you can bring yourself to deliver even gentle lines of wedding humor, you will find your speech taking off, your conversation skyrocketing and your outlook on life become brighter. Just remember to have a smile on your face, and pretty soon without your even realizing it, it will become genuine and you will find it easier to laugh and make jokes.

Tim Giles asked:

It had started out as a prank, a practical joke to play on some
of her ostentatious yuppie friends. They had always had the last
laugh at her expense and now it was to be her opportunity for
revenge. Half an upturned can of Pal surrounded by biscuits and
garnish. The trap had been set.
She had always intended to reveal the punch line at the
appropriate moment just before the guest succumbed to the faux
pate. Then she got side tracked. An unexpected phone call, a
rush of guests and small talk. Oops!
The result was unexpected. No complaints or indignation. The
plate had been virtually licked clean and she was confronted
with an endless stream of compliments over her interesting array
of appetisers. It had gone over remarkably well.
She didn’t have the heart, or perhaps indeed the courage, to
reveal the truth. The guests departed happily wagging
metaphorical tails and unknowingly looking forward to the added
bonus of a shiny coat and stronger teeth.
Accidentally she had successfully taken the product to a new
market. Whilst this probably says more about her gullible
friends than the long term potential for dog food as snack food,
the key Item from a marketing perspective was that she had
managed to engage her customers into trying something new. This
was achieved by positioning the new product within the familiar
context of the dinner party where a degree of experimentation
and tolerance is part and parcel of the experience. It was
relevant and therefore it was tested and consumed.
Relevance and context encourage consumers to sample and nowhere
is this more true than on the web. It is in essence the
underlying principal of search engine marketing. People don’t
stumble upon web sites they search for them. Every time a
consumer types a keyword string into a search engine they are
asking a question. How well your site can answer that question
will determine how likely a visitor will engage with your site.
It is one thing to know the questions that potential customers
are interested in and to set up your site to answer them, it is
another thing all together to get them to come to your dinner
party in the first place.
This requires planning. A good search engine strategy is a feast
of multiple courses and a blend of numerous ingredients. The
following is a good start.
The Ingredients:
A good Carbonara sauce is more than scrambled eggs and ham. Like
cooking, search engine marketing is all about using quality
ingredients in the right proportions. The following is a short
list of some of the best tools to kick start your site
performance.
• Search Engine Pay Per Click (Google AdWords, Overture etc)
Sometimes you have to tie a chop around your neck to get the
dogs to play with you.
• Directory Listings on/offline (Yellow Pages) Although not as
defining and as cost effective as they would have you believe it
is a fool who ignores them altogether.
• Direct ad delivery (eg. Google AdSense) Get Google to place
your ad on other relevant sites. Potentially useful as long as
you have a strong call to action.
• Third party campaign management and competitive analysis
providers (eg. Hitwise) Let someone else manage the headache of
juggling your keyword mix, keep up to date with listing
requirements, and target the increasing number of search engines
out there. This is also great for competitive analysis and
intelligence for other online marketing purposes.
• Direct onsite search engine optimisation (Content optimization
and copywriting, page structure, organisation, under the bonnet
tweaks) There are many ways to get your site listed but
ultimately it is your sites structure, usability and content
that will determine its long term success.
• Link exchanges Just like high school it pays to be popular. It
is all about linking. Recently a Google listing competition was
won by a single entry in a popular blog proving that no matter
what else you do if you can get sufficient numbers of other
sites linking to your site it will list well. (see http://www.wired.com/news/infostructure/0,1377,64130,00.html). Get your site listed in as many relevant industry
directories as you can.
• Public relations Blow your trumpet high and low and always
mention your URL. Encourage subsidiaries, suppliers, customers
and other friendly businesses to link to your site.
• Domain name management Domain names are relatively inexpensive
to set up and there is really no limit on the number of domains
that you can have pointing at your website. A good generic
domain name as well as providing an easily remembered URL for
you to use in advertising and other marketing materials will
also help boost search engine results for that keyword.
• Link farms Towards the murky grey area of the SEO spectrum
however properly implemented and managed they can help direct
relevant targeted traffic to your site (ie. Useful information
directories), however at their worst they are little more than
spam (think menu hell). Link farms in many ways are the direct
response to the current search engine listing process and
increasingly they are polluting the free listings and forcing
web marketers to either follow suit or rely on the paid listings
to help. Care should be taken in their use as it can lead to
your site or IP becoming blacklisted by search engines.
The Preparation:
Depending who you talk to in the web marketing industry the
previous listing of ingredients will be given differing
emphasis. Most of this advice is influenced by vested interests
in one technique or product or the other. The truth is that
there is no real hard and fast rule and the mix may vary
depending upon your product, industry or budget. As a general
rule of thumb all of the above can help achieve an improvement
in your page listings and the best results come from combining
as many channels as you can. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is
a science of small increments. It is the little one percenters
that in isolation are insignificant but can total together to
deliver tangible results.
Task 1 – Define your keywords.
This is the most important part of the process and a could
justify an entire article to fully detail many of the techniques
and strategies that can be used, however if you address the
following checklist you shouldn’t go far wrong.
• Conduct an in house brainstorming session to compile a list of
all possible keywords that potential customers might use to find
your site. (or those that you would like to be found under).
Include all company names, major products and brands. Try not to
edit the list too much at this stage and explore relevant
tangents.
• Review your competition to see what they are using.
Specifically look at the best performing sites in the search
engine keyword categories that you would most like to target.
You can get a good idea of the keywords being used by looking at
the page titles in the browser or looking at the meta keywords
contained in the HTML code of the site (Contained within the
tags generally towards the top of the code). This can be seen by
selecting view and then source from the browser menu or by right
clicking on the page and selecting view source. Ethically it is
considered extremely dirty pool to use your competitors names or
brands directly in your SEO however legally this issue is a bit
cloudy. My advice would be to not do it or risk becoming the
test case that defines the law.
• Use the Overture keyword selector tool to test the popularity
of listed keywords. This will reveal the number of searches done
throughout the Overture network for the last month and enable
you to rank your list of terms and phrases accordingly. It may
also suggest some additional terms that you had not previously
considered. www.c
ontent.overture.com/d/USm/ac/index.jhtml
• Google Ad Words (http://adwords.google.com.au<
/a>) also contains a keyword suggestion tool that can be useful
in this process. Unfortunately you actually have to commence the
sign up (and move through several screens) to actually get to
use it, however you can always abort the sign up once you have
found the information that you need before you are asked to
commit.
• Using the above information shortlist a top 10 of primary
target keywords. If possible list a further 10 as secondary
keywords that can be used to a lesser degree throughout the
site. Try to be specific to your target market as some keywords
are highly competitive and can have multiple meanings that are
not necessarily directly connected to your business. Also try to
include a geographical locator. For example if you deal in car
seat covers it would be better to target Car Accessories
Melbourne rather than simply the generic keyword Cars.
Task 2 – Define your goals and ensure they are shared and have
internal support. Make sure they are realistic.
As with any marketing endeavour it is dangerous to enter into
any campaign unless you have a realistic target to work towards.
It is also important that this target also has the broad support
of the company as a whole. It is no good setting in place a
program to boost online enquiries if the company doesn’t have
the procedures in place to cope with them. Poorly managed a
successful campaign to bring more customers to your site could
have detrimental branding effects if they encounter poor
customer service upon contacting the company.
Key questions:
• What would you consider a successful outcome? (Traffic
numbers, leads/enquiries delivered, downloads made, pages read
etc.. If possible define this quantitatively)
• Who is taking ownership to make sure that leads/enquiries are
actioned promptly? All enquiries should end up with a live
person capable of responding quickly (ie. The sales team not the
network administrator). 24 hours later is not prompt service.
• Be prepared to experiment a little and to give it sufficient
time to work or fail. Note that it can take up to three months
for a search engine to fully catalogue and index your site. This
should be the absolute minimum appraisal time.
Task 3 – Look at your current site. Be honest.
Attracting people to your site is the easy part. Getting them
engaged enough to contact your sales team will depend upon their
experience upon arriving at your site. The beauty of the web is
that it theoretically allows everyone an equal footing, however
a poorly thought out site is unlikely to convert those window
shoppers that arrive on site into sales leads. Remember if they
arrived via a search engine then a full listing of your
competitors is only a back click away. Key questions:
• Are there any artificial barriers to entry on site? (eg. Long
loading times for non broadband users, annoying splash pages and
unnecessary transitional animations, confusing navigation etc..)
• Is there at least one call to action prominently displayed
upon arrival at your site or must a visitor hunt around to find
your contact form, email address, store location or phone number?
• Do you have at least 200 words of searchable text on the home
page of your site? (If you can highlight the text with your
mouse then it is searchable)
• Place yourself in the position of a potential customer. Would
you be engaged enough by this site to make contact?
If your product/service offering is of sufficient quality then
the online campaign has a chance of success. If not then at
least you are failing on your merits.
Next installment: The cooking and the eating, the proof of the
pudding after all

Peter Fogel asked:

A joke has two parts: a set-up (premise) and a punch-line (pay-off).

In comedy club humor you can push the envelope with subject material, your language, etc.

People are drunk, looser, and give you the benefit of the doubt.

Of course, there’s a different mindset when you are in a corporate environment — presenting a comedy show or speaking to the rank and file staff. People are uptight… they’re in work mode… and no company president wants to get sued by his employee for a rude racist remark made by a comedian or speaker during work hours. (See Michael Richards)

I think you know we live in a politically correct society…yes, albeit, a little anal retentive one.

Okay, a lot! But there are rules. Whether you’re speaking to people that have bought your book or you’re training employees at Westinghouse… you MUST (or should) know the psychological make-up or demographics of your listeners.

Here’s an example. It’s a political joke. Now I don’t know if you’re Republican or Democrat…but understand that Humorists are equal opportunity offenders. We ‘knock’ and find fault with all of society. I am trying to be very bi-partisan here.

‘When it comes to America’s politics – dealing with the Democrats and Republicans, don’t you feel that with all their mud slinging and ‘broken promises’ that you’re at the point where you’re just trying to figure out which one is ‘Evil’ or ‘Less Evil’?

Now THAT was a moderate joke (or an attempt at one). With that joke, I am empowering my audience to make a decision. Because I know, in an election year, that’s what is on everyone’s mind, and what they’re trying to figure out!

Here’s a Bush joke I wrote a while back during his re-election.

‘Folks our country is divided. Some Americans think Bush is the worst President this country’s ever had…and others think he’s the best President this country’s ever had. Are you kidding? He’s not even the best President in his own family.’

Now if you’re a Bush fan – PLEASE – keep an open mind about this joke. If you’re left winger – you will undoubtedly laugh at it. (A friend who wrote for Letterman wanted to buy it from me.)

If you’re a right winger you probably won’t like it — but you still might appreciate the ‘truthfulness’ of the joke.

When I performed at a black tie Republican right wing military college… you just KNOW I didn’t do that joke (or any Bush jokes). They might’ve rushed the stage and burned me at the stake–or ask me for a party donation!

BUT I might use that particular joke in Florida where there’s lots of seniors who are not huge fans of ‘W.’ My point is…know the wants, needs, and desires of your audience. Know the boundaries that you can leap over or should avoid like a drunk uncle at a wedding.

Make the time to have a discussion with the person who hired you – so you have no concerns, aggravation, or regrets later on about certain ‘subject material.’

Remember: part of your job as a speaker is to make the event planner who contracted you look like a genius for using you. (You do want to get paid, don’t you?)

When in doubt – leave it out! (Especially when it comes to religion or politics (priests…pedophiles…politicians that are pedophiles…you get the idea.)

Remember: when you’re speaking, use humor to attract -NOT distract from your message…If you insist on being controversial then go for it and have plenty of ammunition to back it up.

Here’s another joke that crosses all boundaries that I use when I have a mixed audience or an audience of boomers. (It’s fail safe.)

‘You know folks…I know I am getting older. I remember when Michael Jackson was black.’

This gets a huge response because the audience is – yes — thinking the exact same thing! And Sir Michael is a controversial celebrity at best.

Remember: Victor Borge once said, (and he said this when he was alive) ‘Humor is the closest point between two people.’

Use it wisely, Grasshopper!

Robert asked:

You wouldn’t believe how plain it is, to make other folk smile..Illustrating why is this that we find jokes hilarious (from a reputable neurologists point of view), should be the first thing to do.I am certain there are moments all folks make new breakthroughs and at those moments, the two neural cells get wired by a route which the mind creates.

This connection we call a synapse and here is one of the many ways of how it works:If we, let’s say think of food, and we recall that coconuts are food, then the brain constructs a connection (synapse, which gets harder) between the neurons that acquire the data we have on food and the ones with this fruit. So, in the future, while you think about food there is a great possibility to start thinking about apples. You’re probably thinking, what does that have to do with me getting funnier? But, it’s pretty much all about it, it’s actually the way humor works.

Everything begins with another person telling you a short, yet common story. This is what stand-up comedians call a setup Now, you’re supposed to think about this story in a certain way. And then, your brain will create connection, leading from this setup to a suitable punch-line. A completely different version of the punch-line, that you have not thought of, is what will make you laugh. And in case, you don’t get this, the following example will help you out.

The Setup:
What is the most satisfying thing next to being shot at and missed?
The Punch-line:
An income tax refund.

How have you felt when you heard the setup? Surely, you would’ve said it was either a Bosnian, Serbian or Croatian in the driver’s seat. It’s natural, as our brain works that way. As I said before, you didn’t expect this punch-line for sure. This is in fact the main principle of the way humor works.

The main thing is good setup. The greatest comedians will usually tell you a setup which will make you think of a number of different possible punch-lines. The more you are convinced, the more you will laugh after hearing the punch line. If you know the joke, you won’t find it funny anymore, because you brain won’t be making any new connections as you know the punch-line.

This should be handy if you want to create new pranks. When someone tells something that all the people thinks about in the same way, but you figure out an unexpected way to understand it. Now, if you tell this to others, it should be incredibly funny.

Tsoof and Eden Baras asked:

Children laugh a lot but they don’t think everything is funny to them. Funnily enough, young children don’t have a sense of humor. The younger the child, the easier it is to see the connections in the brain and the cognitive capacity necessary in order to understand jokes.

Around the age 6 or 7, children develop a sense of humor when they discover that certain words can have more than one meaning. Riddles are one of the first methods for developing a sense of humor. Only at this stage of their understanding do they develop the ability to distinguish between two meanings. Without this ability it is impossible to understand the punch line of every joke. Having a sense of humor has benefits in the development of children from intellectual benefits and social benefits to health benefits.

Intellectual Development

Due to the fact that humour is an intellectual game of language, kids develop their sense of humour together with their language. This is the reason jokes and riddles appear at the end of grade one or at the beginning of the second year of learning to read. Until then, many kids need an explanation as to why the joke was funny.

Understanding humour helps children increase their general knowledge. A correlation has been found between kids’ sense of humour and their creativity. Their ability to understand that there is more than one meaning to a word, expression or sentence, helps them later on with problem solving.

Social Stimulation

Kids understand very early that telling jokes is a great way to get attention. In an adult situation, if an adult tells a joke and everyone is laughs, kids will try to imitate grown up jokes. Their first times seem funny and they try to re- tell the joke without understanding the punch line. When they try to tell it, we can understand why humour is not that funny when you don’t understand.

For kids, humour is a way to establish a certain social status. Kids telling jokes are found to be more socially accepted. They also found that kids using humours make others feel better with their problems and creates an atmosphere that helps communication, an ability that makes others like them.

Emotional stimulation

A lot has been written about the Emotional Intelligence (EQ). The ability to handle feelings is one of the highest ability in EQ. People who can handle their feelings better, were found to be successful in most of their life areas. In many researches on EQ, they found that humour is effective in handling emotions, establishing positive attitude and the ability to handle hard situations.

Laughing for body and soul

Kids laugh a lot. Most of the time when you look at kids, they are laughing. Laughter is an expression of joy and happiness. Much research has been done about the contribution of laughter to people’s health. It was found to help with heart problems, respiratory illnesses, blood pressure, viruses and tumours. Because the main problems of the modern world are related to stress, laughter is sure the great solution. The younger kids develop this ability, the better they could handle stress in the future.

Tips for parents:

•	Use humour at home around the dinner table

•	Help kids understand the double meaning

•	Help your young kids practice telling a joke and be patient with them when they say things that make no sense

•	Get joke books and riddle books from the library and read it with them

•	And the last thing, comedy movies are very helpful in developing sense of humour. Watch comedy movies with your kids and make sure the humour is suitable to their age. Many animation movies are great because they always have a funny character, no matter how serious the movie is.

All the recommendations here are good for kids and especially good for their tensed parents.

petar1980 asked:

There is an easy way to become a funnier person, than you were a few hours ago. I will first introduce why some things are amusing, the way important neurologists explain this to be. Whenever we comprehend new stuff, the brain builds a new path, from a brain cell to another brain cell.
That route what we call a synapse and it works like this:After we think about blueberries , and if we know that specific fruit is food, our brain will make a path (synapse), that will connect the neural cells saving the data we have on those two terms. This actually means, that the next time you think of food, you will most likely think of apples. What you’re probably thinking is that this has nothing to do with humor. Well you’re wrong, as this is in fact the way humor works.
It all begins with a person telling you a simple and short story. Stand-up comedians call this a setup. After this, you should be thinking about this story in a certain way. Your brain makes connections from this setup to a punch-line that you think will follow. What you’re going to hear, won’t be the punch-line you imagined, but a completely different one, which will make you laugh. If by any chance you still don’t get this, the next example should be helpful.
The Setup:What is the most satisfying thing next to being shot at and missed? The Punch-line:An income tax refund.
How have you felt when you heard the setup? Surely, you would’ve said it was either a Bosnian, Serbian or Croatian in the driver’s seat. It’s ok, because our brain simply works that way, during the setup. And as I already said, the punch-line you read was indeed very different. Memorize this, as it’s one of the basic ways humor works.
A good setup is of great importance. The greatest comedians will usually tell you a setup which will make you think of a number of different possible punch-lines. The more you think that your punch-line is the most suitable one, the more you’ll laugh when you hear the actual one. If you know the joke, you won’t find it funny anymore, because you brain won’t be making any new connections as you know the punch-line.
This article should prove useful if you want to make up some new pranks. When a girl tells something that everyone thinks about in the same way, but you find out an unexpected way to understand it. Now, if you tell this to others, it should be incredibly funny.
